Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our Anesthesia Care Team at Northwest Community Hospital. As a CRNA, you will be responsible for providing high-quality anesthesia care to patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatrics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver anesthesia care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures, including neuro, cardiac, gen surg, thoracic, urology, plastics, ortho, OB, and ophthalmology.
  • Work collaboratively with the Anesthesia Care Team, including anesthesiologists, nurse anesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of anesthesia care plans, including pre-anesthesia evaluation, anesthesia induction, and post-anesthesia recovery.
  • Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations, including medical history, physical examination, and laboratory tests to identify potential anesthesia risks.
  • Administer anesthesia medications, including inhalational and intravenous agents, to ensure patient comfort and safety.
  • Monitor patient vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen saturation, to ensure patient safety.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans, including pain management and post-operative care.
Requirements
  • Advanced Practicing Nurse License in the state of Illinois.
  • Graduate of an approved School of Nurse Anesthesia.
  • Certified or Board eligible for certification as CRNA.
  • Maintains re-certification every two years.
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider and ACLS required.
  • PALS certification recommended.
