Veterinary Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team at Seattle Humane. As a Veterinary Technician - Shelter Medicine Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality medical care to animals in our shelter and clinic.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to hospitalized patients, including administering medications, vaccinations, and other treatments.
- Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, such as surgeries and dental care.
- Conduct diagnostic tests, including digital radiography and phlebotomy.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for animals with infectious diseases.
- Work closely with volunteers and other staff members to provide excellent customer service and ensure the smooth operation of the shelter and clinic.
- Current Veterinary Technician license in the state of Washington or ability to transfer license from another state.
- Experience working in a veterinary setting or animal welfare field.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds repeatedly.
