Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Architect to join our team at the Bureau of Reclamation. As an Architect, you will be responsible for designing and developing architectural and functional designs for various industrial and commercial facilities and buildings. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that our projects meet the highest standards of accessibility, life safety, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop complete architectural and functional designs for industrial and commercial facilities and buildings, including hydroelectric powerplants, water and wastewater treatment facilities, and other similar structures.
  • Prepare and review architectural and functional designs using field data, design standards, policies, codes, and safety requirements.
  • Meet with client representatives to clarify requirements and discuss proposed changes, and coordinate work with other engineering and architectural disciplines to ensure continuity in designs.
Requirements
  • Must have a degree in Architecture or a related field, or a combination of education and experience that provides a thorough knowledge of the arts and sciences underlying professional architecture.
  • Must have at least one year of specialized experience in an architect's office or in architectural work, or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the fundamental principles and theories of professional architecture.
  • Must have a strong understanding of architectural principles, methods, and techniques, and be able to apply them to the design and construction of buildings.
Working Conditions

This position is located in Lakewood, Colorado, and requires a fully completed and favorably adjudicated SF85 Background Investigation (T1 or equivalent) that is current (within the last 5 years). This is a condition of employment.
