Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team at Goldfish Swim School - West Chester. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality swim lessons to students of all ages and skill levels, while ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and effective swim lessons to students, focusing on water safety and proper technique.
  • Enforce pool rules and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe environment for all.
  • Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback to parents and guardians.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with parents and guardians, keeping them informed of their child's progress and achievements.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest teaching methods and techniques.
  • Assist with pool maintenance and cleaning duties as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the smooth operation of the swim school.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education preferred.
  • Previous experience as a lifeguard, youth sports instructor, or camp counselor preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be willing to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and evenings.
