Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit team at Saint Luke's Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to a group of patients assigned to the nurse, matching their needs with the nurse's competencies.
  • Complete established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and enhance clinical skills.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Monitor and report patient progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse.
  • Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support certification (ARC or AHA).
  • AHA ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications within 60 days of hire or transfer into role.
  • S.T.A.B.L.E. certification for NICU- Level 2 Nursery within 6 months of hire or transfer date into unit.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Two years of experience in acute care, preferably in med/surg, telemetry, or ICU.
