We are seeking a highly skilled Metallurgical Quality Control Specialist to join our team at Trident Maritime Systems. As a key member of our Quality Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in our metallurgical products.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough metallurgical quality inspections at various stages of the manufacturing process to ensure adherence to internal specifications and customer expectations.
- Oversee receiving, in-process, and final inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Perform dimensional evaluations, ultrasonic thickness measurements, and hardness testing to ensure product quality.
- Conduct Positive Material Inspection (PMI) to verify material specifications.
- Execute visual assessments and marking verification to ensure product integrity.
- Approve and verify heat treat charts to ensure accurate processing.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation and traceability records.
- Handle equipment calibration activities to ensure precision and accuracy.
- Demonstrate problem-solving abilities and knowledge of emergency procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform tasks that may involve heavy lifting and work in both indoor and outdoor environments as directed by supervisor.
- Experience with CCM Romer is beneficial.
- Possess foundational math skills and precision measuring instrument proficiency.
- Exhibit punctuality, attention to detail, and effective English communication skills.
- Prioritize workplace cleanliness and adherence to safety protocols.
- Consistently wear approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
- Must be a US Citizen.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Metallurgical Manufacturing Technology, Quality Assurance, Engineering, or 2 years related discipline is preferred.
- Manufacturing/Industrial metallurgical experience preferred.
