Job Overview

Serve as a mental health clinician in a correctional setting, conducting psychiatric social work with individuals who require treatment and support. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote positive outcomes and rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychosocial assessments and gather relevant case information to inform diagnosis, treatment, and release decisions.
  • Develop, monitor, and modify treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintain order and supervise the conduct of inmates, ensuring a safe and secure environment.
  • Protect the safety and well-being of individuals and property within the facility.
  • Participate in shift rotations, including evening and weekend shifts, to meet operational needs.

Requirements:

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or equivalent licensure from the California Board of Behavioral Sciences or Board of Psychology.
  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
