Job Summary

Barnard Construction Company, Inc. is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Truck Driver to join our team for the Chimney Hollow Reservoir project. As a key member of our field personnel, you will be responsible for safely and effectively operating heavy equipment trucks, ensuring the smooth execution of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate 40-ton articulating trucks and/or 100-ton rigid frame trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in heavy equipment operation.
  • Report vehicle defects, accidents, or damage to the vehicle.
  • Perform daily inspections of trucks to ensure they are in proper and safe working order.
  • Notify supervisor if truck needs to be repaired.
  • Understand and adhere to safety protocols and occupational hazards of work.
Requirements
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Ability to exert heavy physical effort, handling objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to kneel, stoop, crouch, balance, climb, or crawl.
  • Ability to correctly rig and hoist material.
  • Ability to tolerate heights without fear.
  • Ability to maintain balance and work in extreme weather conditions.
  • Able to work long, irregular, and varied hours, 50 to 70 hours per week.
