School Counselor

Sage Oak Charter Schools is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Counselor to join our team. As a key member of our school community, the School Counselor will play a vital role in supporting the academic, personal, and social growth of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive school counseling program that addresses the diverse needs of our students.
• Provide individual and group counseling services to students, focusing on academic, career, and personal development.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• Assess student data to identify areas of need and develop targeted interventions to support student success.
• Stay up-to-date with educational laws, trends, and best practices to ensure compliance and excellence in school counseling.

Requirements:

• Valid California state pupil personnel services credential.
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) preferred.
• State and federal fingerprint clearance to work with students.
• Proof of a clear TB test or signed Certificate of Completion dated within the last 60 days.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Working Conditions:

• Office environment with regular use of computer and other office equipment.
• Noise level is generally moderate.
• Meetings conducted in public and office settings.
• Indoor and outdoor work in varying temperatures.
