The Respiratory Therapist is a vital member of the RHI Rehab team, providing high-quality patient care to adults aged 15 and older. As a key player in our Respiratory Care Department, this individual will administer various therapies and modalities to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
Key Duties:
- Administer oxygen and aerosol therapy, continuous mechanical ventilation, CPAP, and BiPAP, as well as overnight oximetry studies, in any care area, following proper orders and delivering required equipment.
- Troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment and provide accurate charting and charging, editing results, creating reports, interpreting data, and advising physicians on airway management.
- Administer all types of intermittent therapy and medication, including obtaining orders, accurate charting and charging, and troubleshooting equipment as needed.
- Perform Electrocardiographic (EKG) procedures and point-of-care lab testing, such as arterial blood gases, with medical director approval.
