**Job Summary**

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as a VP of Legal. **Responsibilities**

* Provide strategic legal advice to the executive team and ensure that all company strategies and operations are legally sound and efficient.
* Oversee all legal matters related to purchase orders, government contracts, securities law, and commercial transactions.
* Ensure the company's compliance with all ITAR regulations and other relevant laws.
* Act as the company's representative in any legal proceedings and ensure the best possible outcomes for the company.
* Develop and implement policies and procedures to prevent legal issues and mitigate risks.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all company operations are legally compliant.
* Stay updated on any changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company and advise the executive team accordingly.
* Provide legal guidance during the negotiation and execution of contracts and agreements.
* Lead the legal team and promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

**Requirements**

* A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
* Expertise in handling purchase orders, government contracts, securities law, and commercial transactions.
* In-depth knowledge of ITAR and other relevant laws and regulations.
* Proven experience in providing strategic legal advice to an executive team.
* Experience in a hardware startup environment is a plus.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
* The ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
