Custodial Worker Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Custodial Worker to join our team at the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities. As a Custodial Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our clients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces.
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and floor polishers.
  • Restock supplies and materials as needed.
  • Assist with special events and projects as required.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in custodial work or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position with a regular schedule of 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. The work environment is fast-paced and requires attention to detail.
