About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Utility Worker to join our team at Sioux Area Metro. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain buses, bus shelters, and buildings to ensure a safe and clean environment for our passengers and staff.
  • Perform general yard work and light building maintenance tasks to maintain the appearance and functionality of our properties.
  • Assist with additional responsibilities as needed, including but not limited to, snow removal and equipment maintenance.
Requirements
  • Possess basic knowledge of HVAC, carpentry, and plumbing principles.
  • Hold a valid South Dakota driver's license.
  • Able to obtain a CDL permit.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment physical and background check.
  • Pass a drug screening and background check with no felonies, clean MVR, no DUI/DWI or reckless driving convictions, and no more than 2 speeding tickets.
  • At least 21 years old.
Benefits
  • Competitive hourly rate of $21.70.
  • Benefits package including health, dental, and life insurance, 401K, clothing allowance, holiday pay, vacation days, bonus days, and tool allowance.
  • Shifts bid by seniority.
