We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team as a Senior Mechanical Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for developing conceptual designs, creating system-level architecture, and managing the progress of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Develop conceptual designs or modify existing designs to meet customer requirements.
- System Architecture: Create system-level architecture and complete layout of machines through detailed component design.
- Project Management: Manage the progress of projects relative to established plans, schedules, budgets, and resources.
- Leadership: Lead teams and influence project direction and progress.
- Project Support: Assist with the successful management of assigned projects as they relate to cost, quality, timing, and customer satisfaction.
- Team Development: Assist in developing the Mechanical Engineering department through leadership, experience, encouragement, and mentorship.
Requirements:
- Design Software: Experienced with design software like Inventor (preferred), SolidWorks, and AutoCAD.
- Analytical Skills: Able to apply both an analytical perspective and practical understanding to solve design challenges using a systematic engineering approach.
- Simulation Tools: Experience with simulation tools (stress, dynamic analysis).
- Design Tools: Good working knowledge of designing in Inventor and AutoCAD design tools.
- Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of automation products, services, and the industry.
- Design Complexity: Capable of creating machine designs with complex assemblies and subassemblies utilizing parametric design methodology.
- Design Principles: Strong understanding of thermal, structural, and dynamic designs.
- Process Development: Working knowledge and development of process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
- Strategic Thinking: Strategic thinking.
- Leadership Qualities: Positive thinker, able to motivate and inspire a team.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Time Management: Highly motivated, driven, and achievement-oriented.
- Organizational Skills: Effective time management and organizational skills.
Education and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience: 8+ years of related experience.
