Medical Screener

About the Role:

As a Medical Screener at Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our donors. Your primary responsibility will be to screen new and repeat donors, taking and recording vital signs and finger stick results. You will also be responsible for using our Donor Information System, preparing donor charts, and maintaining accurate records. Additionally, you will coordinate donor compensation and help identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer phones and greet donors while ensuring their safety and the safety of our team

• Screen new and repeat donors, taking and recording vital signs and finger stick results

• Use our Donor Information System to prepare donor charts and maintain accurate records

• Coordinate donor compensation and ensure timely payment

• Identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and implement changes using company-approved procedures

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift

• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees

• Ability to lift up to 5 lbs. and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.

• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance

• Prolonged glove wear required due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1)

• 1 or more years of experience working in a customer or patient-facing role is preferred

Compensation and Benefits Summary:

We offer a competitive starting hourly wage of $18.00, with opportunities for short-term incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.

$18.00

The starting hourly wage reflects the actual starting rate for this position. The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
