Senior CNC Machinist

We are seeking an experienced Senior CNC Machinist to join our team at Atlanta Gear Works in Dawsonville, GA.

This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.

As a Senior CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for machining parts from mechanical drawings, setting up and programming CNC equipment, and operating manual and CNC Lathes and Mills.

• Machining parts from mechanical drawings with high precision and accuracy.
• Setting up and programming CNC equipment, including tool setup and operations.
• Operating manual and CNC Lathes and Mills to manufacture precision components.
• Reading micrometers and other measuring instruments to ensure quality control.
• Reading mechanical drawings to understand production requirements.
• Performing simple math calculations to calculate production quantities and costs.

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical school preferred.
• Minimum of three years experience in CNC machining, preferably in a contract precision maintenance jobshop environment.
• Experience working with high precision measuring instruments, such as verniers, micrometers, and depth gauges.
• Ability to lift small to large objects up to 50lbs regularly and work 40+ hours per week.
• Valid driver's license in good standing and willingness to undergo pre-employment background check.
