Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and sustain optimal automation software for the Roots Automation platform.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver and maintain the Roots Automation platform.
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers.
  • Proactively shape the vision for architecture and design patterns.
  • Build and oversee a high-caliber Software Engineering team.
  • Manage the delivery of impactful development solutions.

Essential Qualifications:

Core Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in a Senior Software Engineer, Architect, or related role.
  • Proficiency in backend programming languages, primarily Python.
  • Expertise in designing and developing REST APIs and microservices.
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases such as SQL Server and Postgres.
  • Familiarity with cloud services, particularly Azure.
  • Experience with serverless technologies like Azure Functions.
  • Knowledge of Docker and containerization.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Advanced understanding of Agile practices.
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Git and Jenkins.
  • Experience in mentoring junior engineers.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Software Architecture and Design.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Additional Assets:

  • Experience with RPA technologies and platforms.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML technologies and platforms.
  • Experience with GraphQL.
  • Background in startup environments.
  • Degree in Computer Science.
