Equipment Operator Job Description

Volt is seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our team in Vernon, CA. As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating equipment and machinery used in print production, packaging, and finishing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate equipment and machinery in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines
  • Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and diagrams to select, position, and secure machinery
  • Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, within quality guidelines and in a timely fashion
  • May have to complete formal training in area of specialty with no to minimal prior experience in the field or in a related area
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
Requirements:
  • Operates equipment and machinery
  • Knowledge of different printing processes
  • Essential for measuring materials, calculating quantities, and ensuring precise adjustments
  • Critical for inspecting printed products for defects and ensuring they meet specifications
  • Efficiently managing time to meet production deadlines
