We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our team at HCA Florida Blake Hospital. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory services, collecting blood specimens from patients, and performing various laboratory tests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect blood specimens from patients using venipuncture and skin puncture methods
  • Complete accurate and timely specimen collection documentation
  • Follow established procedures for patient identification and specimen collection based on test orders
  • Provide excellent patient care and education regarding specimen collection procedures
  • Use our computer information system relative to job functions
  • Clerical duties, including faxing, phones, pneumatic tube system, and reports

Requirements:

  • A completed high school diploma or GED
  • A vocational/technical diploma or phlebotomy certificate
  • Less than 1 year of experience in a clinical laboratory setting
  • Excellent time management and customer service skills
