Position Overview

The Communication Studies (Speech Communication) Instructor role is a part-time position within a continuous adjunct pool. This role allows for the submission of application materials on an ongoing basis. Candidates may be selected as opportunities arise for temporary, part-time instructors in the field of communication studies.


Essential Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- A demonstrated understanding of and respect for the diverse backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff, including academic, socioeconomic, ethnic, religious, cultural, disability, and sexual orientation factors.
- A Master's degree in speech, telecommunications, rhetoric, communication studies, or organizational communication.
OR
- A Bachelor's degree in any of the aforementioned fields combined with a Master's degree in drama/theater arts, mass communication, or English.
OR
- An equivalent qualification.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position will be determined based on the candidate's placement on the current Adjunct Faculty Salary Schedule, which considers education and experience. Please refer to the Citrus College website for more details.
Benefits: This part-time faculty position does not offer paid holidays, health benefits, or vacation.


Department Information

This position falls under the Language Arts Department. Work days and schedule will be determined by the district.
