Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic II to join our team in Melville, NY. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our production lines, performing preventative maintenance tasks, and troubleshooting equipment issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventative Maintenance: Assist in the completion of all PMs attached to the resource, document the entire PM process, and assist in the entire PM process for the resource.
  • Equipment Operation: Setup resources for efficient run, complete all startup activities, and complete all documentation in support of the job.
  • Troubleshooting: Proactively identify and fix issues, problem solve effectively, and demonstrate learnings and apply to future similar issues.
  • Training: Provide basic training skills for resource type capability, including technical skill and soft skill capability.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with team members, provide updates on daily, weekly, and monthly goals, and demonstrate a sense of personal responsibility and ownership of problems.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or maintenance role.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to resolve issues in a tactful and diplomatic manner, and basic personal leadership skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift at least 50 pounds, work in an environment that may be oily, dusty, and/or noisy, and handle containers of hazardous waste.
Benefits

The Estée Lauder Companies offers a competitive salary range of $22.00/hour to $37.00/hour, depending on experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to hourly rate, this position may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Work Environment

This position is located in Melville, NY, and requires working a 3rd shift schedule. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
