Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled GSE Mechanic to join our team at Signature Aviation. As a GSE Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining ground support equipment used in operations, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, and performing routine maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and maintain ground support equipment to ensure it is in good working condition
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as checking and servicing equipment with fuel, water, oil, and hydraulic fluid
  • Diagnose problems using test equipment and applicable manuals
  • Build and assemble machines or mechanical components according to requirements
  • Inspect machines, engines, transmissions, and other equipment to identify functionality issues
  • Conduct repairs to maximize equipment reliability
  • Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems
  • Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components
  • Replenish fluids and components of engines and machinery
  • Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to machine or vehicle users
  • Keep logs of work and report on issues
  • Completion of GSE paperwork as required
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED plus one (1) year experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • Ability to pass background checks (criminal and motor vehicle), drug tests, receive and maintain issuance of an airport security badge, and be insurable by the company's insurance policies
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment
  • Prior GSE or heavy equipment experience preferred
  • Must have your own tools
  • Must possess valid driver's license
  • Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a definite plus
  • Valid certification (ASE) preferred
