Objective of the Role:
The primary objective of this role is to execute the daily responsibilities of the Housekeeping Department, adhering to all applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our establishment. This is to be carried out as directed by the Executive Director, Administrator, or the Director of Housekeeping, ensuring that our facility remains clean, safe, and comfortable for all residents.
Authority Delegation:
As a Housekeeper, you are entrusted with the necessary administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability to fulfill your assigned tasks effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
While every effort has been made to outline the essential functions of this position, it is important to note that this does not imply that these are the only tasks you will be expected to perform. The absence of specific duties does not exclude them from your responsibilities if they are similar, related, or essential to the role.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess the ability to read and write in English; a High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Experience:
Prior experience in housekeeping is preferred; however, on-the-job training will be provided.
Physical and Sensory Requirements:
- Ability to move throughout the workday.
- Proficiency in speaking and writing English in a clear manner.
- Capacity to manage the mental and emotional demands of the position.
- Must have adequate sight and hearing capabilities, with or without the use of prosthetics.
- Ability to work independently while demonstrating flexibility, integrity, and effective collaboration with residents, their families, and coworkers.
- Must meet the general health standards established by the facility's policies.
- Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift weights ranging from 20 lbs to 50 lbs and transport such weights over reasonable distances.
- May be required to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
