Swim Instructor

Goldfish Swim School - Gowanus is seeking a dedicated and passionate Swim Instructor to join our team. As a Swim Instructor, you will play a vital role in teaching students of all ages and skill levels the fundamentals of swimming and water safety.

• Deliver high-quality swim lessons to students, focusing on water safety and proper swimming techniques
• Enforce pool rules and regulations to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all
• Conduct regular pool area inspections to identify and address any maintenance or cleanliness issues
• Evaluate student progress and maintain accurate records
• Participate in cross-training and substitute teaching as needed
• Represent Goldfish Swim School - Gowanus as a positive ambassador, providing exceptional customer service to students, families, and team members

• Ability to work effectively with children and adults of all ages and skill levels
• Previous experience in teaching, coaching, or lifeguarding is preferred
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to pass background checks

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Prior experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor, or childcare provider is required. Swimming experience is a plus.

As a Swim Instructor, you will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with moderate noise levels and exposure to heat and humidity.
