Role Summary and Qualifications

As an Operating Room Nurse, you will deliver outstanding patient care during surgical and invasive procedures. Under the guidance of the OR Manager, you will collaborate with the team to ensure the operating room is well-prepared for all procedures. We are looking for a dedicated nurse who shares our commitment to meaningful patient care. In this role:

  • You will perform general nursing duties and demonstrate proficiency in all OR procedures as validated by specific competencies.
  • You will ensure efficient room turnover and patient flow.
  • You will complete all necessary documentation and computer charting to guarantee accurate and timely patient records.
  • You will use your experience to anticipate and fulfill the needs of the surgical team.
  • You will conduct counts of sponges, needles, and instruments with the OR Technician during all surgical procedures, adhering to facility policies.
  • You will facilitate communication among patients, surgeons, OR staff, and other departments as required.
  • You will adhere to safety and security protocols for patients and staff, including hand hygiene and personal protective equipment usage.
  • You will maintain professionalism and composure, especially in high-pressure situations.
Required Qualifications
  • Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Utah.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 7 days of hire.
  • Certification in Advanced Life Support (ALS) from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in the operating room is required.
