Job Title: Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

Avera is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, education, and support to our clients and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance, supervision, and education to clients and staff regarding mental and medical health issues, medication side effects, medication administration, and general health services.
  • Assist in the development of policies, procedures, forms, and training programs to ensure the effectiveness and safety of medication administration.
  • Monitor the health of clients, assist in coordination with medical services, and provide ongoing consultation and advice to Center staff.
  • Provide Outpatient Psychiatric Physician Support Services, including vitals, orders, and e-prescribing capabilities.
  • Attend Case Consultation staff meetings and in-services.
  • Conduct in-service training relating to medical health or medications and provide Medication Education Services (MES).

Requirements:

  • Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Minnesota.
  • Qualified as a Mental Health Practitioner in the state of Minnesota.
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid.
  • Strong verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Work Environment:

May be exposed to communicable diseases when working in a healthcare environment. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and outside weather conditions.
