Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Nature's Bakery. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing competent and effective electrical and mechanical maintenance support to our plant and facility operations in a safe manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Install, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment, including assembly, conveyors, forming, and mixing equipment.
  • Safety and Compliance: Follow work instructions and OSHA safety rules, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment in an industrial environment.
  • Problem-Solving: Diagnose problems, replace and repair parts, detect and replace defective items, test, and make final adjustments for high-speed production equipment.
  • Electrical Systems: Diagnose and repair all electrical functions.
  • Prioritization and Triage: Prioritize and triage in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Maintain equipment in accordance with diagrams and manufacturer specifications while following preventative maintenance work orders and scheduled PMs.
  • Documentation: Generate work orders, and parts requests, and complete work orders and PMs with documentation.
  • Mechanical and Pneumatic Processes: Use mechanical and pneumatic processes, including cylinders and glue machines, date coders.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate equipment such as forklifts, scissors lifts, and other appropriate equipment.
  • Training and Development: Maintain current GMP, Safety, Food Safety, and technical knowledge by actively participating in training.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience working in the food manufacturing industry.
  • Education: A high school diploma or its equivalent is required.
  • Skills: Ability to read and interpret quality documents, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
