Key Responsibilities- Equipment Maintenance: Install, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment, including assembly, conveyors, forming, and mixing equipment.
- Safety and Compliance: Follow work instructions and OSHA safety rules, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment in an industrial environment.
- Problem-Solving: Diagnose problems, replace and repair parts, detect and replace defective items, test, and make final adjustments for high-speed production equipment.
- Electrical Systems: Diagnose and repair all electrical functions.
- Prioritization and Triage: Prioritize and triage in a fast-paced work environment.
- Preventive Maintenance: Maintain equipment in accordance with diagrams and manufacturer specifications while following preventative maintenance work orders and scheduled PMs.
- Documentation: Generate work orders, and parts requests, and complete work orders and PMs with documentation.
- Mechanical and Pneumatic Processes: Use mechanical and pneumatic processes, including cylinders and glue machines, date coders.
- Equipment Operation: Operate equipment such as forklifts, scissors lifts, and other appropriate equipment.
- Training and Development: Maintain current GMP, Safety, Food Safety, and technical knowledge by actively participating in training.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience working in the food manufacturing industry.
- Education: A high school diploma or its equivalent is required.
- Skills: Ability to read and interpret quality documents, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
