About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Medical Specialist to join our team at a Federal Occupational Health Clinic in San Francisco, CA. As a Medical Specialist, you will provide direct patient care to federal agency employees and perform agency-specific occupational examinations.


Responsibilities
  • Provide detailed documentation of past medical history, physical examination, and medical review of ancillary testing.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide BLS/AED or other emergency care until EMS arrives.
  • Provide medical oversight for nursing staff when present onsite.
  • Review results of laboratory testing and provide clarification to RMO when needed.

Requirements
  • MD or DO Degree
  • Board Certification in Occupational Health, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Emergency, or General Surgery
  • Minimum 24 months experience within the last 36 months as a Physician
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted license
  • Current BLS certificate with AHA or Red Cross required

Benefits

This is a per diem position, offering flexibility to choose your hours and patients will come in based on scheduled hours. Exams are approximately 45 minutes long, resulting in 4-5 hours of work per day. Additional hours can be picked up through travel within the USA, with expenses paid for plus food and room & board.
