Job Summary

The Surgical Technologist I plays a vital role in the Operating Room team, assisting surgeons and nurses in delivering high-quality patient care. This position requires strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to maintain a sterile environment and handle complex medical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and nurses in preparing patients for surgery, including positioning and draping
  • Maintain a sterile environment throughout the surgical procedure, including handling instruments and supplies
  • Monitor and report any changes in patient condition to the surgical team
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest medical procedures and technologies
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a surgical technology program
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to maintain a sterile environment and handle complex medical equipment
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73 clearances
