Electrical Engineer Construction Specialist

Job OverviewBlvd Electric Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in electrical construction for commercial projects, including tenant improvements (TIs), restaurants, and other large-scale developments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with RFIs and change orders, and will assist in both pre-construction and construction phases to ensure seamless project delivery.Key Responsibilities
  • RFI and Change Order Management:
    • Review, respond, and manage RFIs and change orders with contractors, project managers, and field teams.
    • Track and document all RFIs and change orders to ensure accurate project billing and compliance with contract terms.
  • Pre-construction Support:
    • Collaborate with the project management team during pre-construction to assist with electrical design reviews, value engineering, and coordination with subcontractors.
    • Review electrical plans for accuracy, compliance, and constructability before the project begins.
  • Construction Phase Support:
    • Assist with electrical installations and coordination during the construction phase, ensuring alignment with design specifications.
    • Conduct on-site inspections and provide engineering support to field teams as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of years of experience in electrical construction, particularly in tenant improvements, restaurant builds, or similar commercial projects.
  • Strong understanding of RFIs, change order processes, and construction documentation.
  • Knowledge of NEC codes and electrical construction standards.
  • Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with design-build projects.
  • PE license or working toward licensure is a plus.
