Job Summary

The Registered Nurse Cardiovascular Stepdown coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care, advocating for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
  • Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
  • Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current State of Florida Registered RN License, or recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions).
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification via American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • A minimum of one year acute care hospital Medical/Surgical/Cardiac RN experience.
