About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/PCA to join our team at HomeWell Care Services. As a Caregiver/PCA, you will play a vital role in providing support and comfort to our senior clients, enabling them to maintain their independence and dignity.

Responsibilities
  • Companionship and Conversation: Engage with clients in meaningful conversations, providing emotional support and companionship.
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
  • Light Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and linen changing, to maintain a clean and comfortable living environment.
  • Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals for clients, taking into account their dietary needs and preferences.
  • Medication Reminders: Provide reminders and assistance with medication management, ensuring clients take their medications as prescribed.
  • Transportation: Safely transport clients to and from appointments, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Education and Support: Educate family members on safe care techniques, empowering them to provide the best possible care for their loved ones.
Qualifications
  • Treatment of Clients: Demonstrate respect, empathy, and kindness when interacting with clients, ensuring their dignity and well-being are maintained.
  • Interpretation of Care Plans: Accurately interpret and implement client care plans, ensuring their unique needs are met.
  • Transportation and Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, enabling safe and efficient transportation of clients.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in response to changing client needs and situations.
  • Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with clients, family members, and colleagues, ensuring seamless care coordination.
  • Lifting and Mobility: Possess the physical ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds, ensuring safe and efficient care delivery.
  • Experience with Dementia Patients: Prior experience working with dementia patients and senior care is highly valued, but not required.
