About the Role:
Mcare Agency LLC is seeking a highly skilled and licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to patients. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work closely with our physical therapist to help individuals improve their mobility and functionality as they face medical conditions or limitations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer manual physical exercises and instruct patients in non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-living activities.
- Assess and interpret evaluations and test results to determine physical therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians.
- Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records in compliance with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
- Follow up with home health orthopedic patients and continue to meet eligibility requirements for home health services.
- Help patients use supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.
- Instruct and counsel patients on therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, and wellness and health maintenance.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Monitor actual physical therapy services rendered to production objectives.
- Drive patients to appointments and engage in other transportation-related tasks.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited Assistant Therapy Assistant Program.
- In-state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- 1 year of home health experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Strong caring interpersonal skills.
- Valid Driver's license and clean DMV record.
