We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our team at Boston Children's Hospital. As an Anesthesia Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient care of patients receiving anesthesia.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and maintain anesthesia workrooms and equipment in all operating rooms and satellite anesthetizing locations.
- Assist anesthesia providers in the safe and efficient care of patients receiving anesthesia.
- Provide specialized equipment to assist anesthesia staff when necessary.
- Prepare anesthesia machines and carts for use the following day.
- Assemble and prepare intravenous (IV) solutions for anesthesia providers.
- Work with the perioperative team to ensure prompt OR turnover.
- Assist with difficult airway management by providing equipment needs such as video laryngoscope and fiberoptic intubation cart.
- Prepare age-appropriate anesthesia equipment, monitors, and airway support.
- A High school diploma or equivalent G.E.D.
- 1-2 years of work experience in an acute care setting.
- The analytical skills to gather and interpret data in situations where information or problems are relatively routine.
- The ability to exchange information on factual matters and/or relay messages to appropriate personnel.
