Job Summary and Qualifications
The Nuclear Cardiology Technologist conducts nuclear cardiology examinations, ensuring exceptional customer service and image quality.

The technologist is responsible for receiving, calibrating, logging, administering, and monitoring the decay of radioactive isotopes in accordance with established policies, procedures, and safety protocols.


Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct nuclear medicine examinations following established protocols, ensuring timely and high-quality care.
- Receive, calibrate, log, administer, and monitor the decay of radioactive isotopes.
- Provide radiation safety support in case of any incidents or spills.
- Maintain precise and detailed reports and records.
- Document patients' medical histories.
- Coordinate patient flow and verify the completion of all examinations.
- Educate patients about procedures and address any inquiries.
- Communicate professionally with colleagues, physicians, patients, and their families.
- Maintain all necessary licenses, certifications, and accreditations as outlined in job qualifications.
- Uphold the facility's ICARE values.
- Prepare patients for examinations or treatments and provide discharge instructions.
- Demonstrate proficiency in technical skills and procedures.
- Exhibit knowledge in handling radioactive materials.

- Understand human growth and development, assessment, treatment range, and care appropriate for the ages of patients served.

- Accurately measure radioactive waste and ensure proper disposal in compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine program.
- Current registration as CNMT or ARRT-NM, or registry eligible with a requirement to pass registration within one year.
- BLS certification required.
- Completion of a 12 Lead EKG course.
