The Kansas City Royals Baseball Club LLC is seeking a highly skilled High-Performance Analyst to join our team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing performance science processes and systems across departments within Baseball Operations.

You will have the chance to work collaboratively and effectively across multiple subdisciplines, driving projects to completion and contributing to the creation and enhancement of current data visualizations and reporting tools.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can support a comprehensive athlete monitoring system, including routine and project-based data collection, technical maintenance, troubleshooting, test selection, staff training, and system design. Additionally, you will conduct internal medical & performance research and assist with Performance Science project initiatives and collaborative efforts across departments within Player Development and Baseball Operations.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require a Bachelor's degree in a related field, with postgraduate degree/training in a sport science discipline being preferred. Strong explicit and tacit knowledge of monitoring training and performance in competitive athletes is essential, as is knowledge and proficiency in applied health and performance science research methods and statistics.

We also require excellent verbal and written communication skills, with Spanish competency being an asset. Preference will be given to candidates with experience utilizing performance technology, knowledge of baseball-specific tools, and relevant certification/licensure as a sports performance practitioner.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

This position will be based out of the Royals' Surprise Complex (Surprise, AZ), with possible travel to the Royal's affiliates and/or external sites, as directed. You must be able to lift items weighing as much as 40 pounds and be comfortable working in a seated position for extended periods of time. We also require you to be productive using a computer keyboard and telephone and to be comfortable walking to navigate the facility to access the office, concourse, etc.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated at $75,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including company benefits, 401K, and PTO.
