We are seeking a skilled Nursing Specialist to join our team at HCA Florida Northside Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a high acuity environment and provide exceptional care to patients.

Job Summary

This nursing specialist will be responsible for assessing, planning, intervening, and evaluating the care of patients in the progressive care unit. The ideal candidate will have strong critical thinking skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Audit, evaluate, and improve patient care practices
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions
  • Administer medications in accordance with physician orders
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Licensure as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure
  • Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred
  • Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred
  • Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
