About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Manager/Engineer to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our data center operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data center facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders

Work closely with our stakeholders to define processes and standards that govern data center activities, ensuring compliance with industry best practices.

  • Monitor and Report

Monitor data center activities to confirm compliance and track and report resource consumption (power, cooling, and rack space) to our government customers.

  • Coordinate and Control

Coordinate and control access and logistic support, ensuring that all data center activities are carried out in a secure and efficient manner.

  • Communicate and Maintain

Communicate maintenance intervals to affected stakeholders and maintain data center documentation, including maintenance verification documents, technical drawings, and procurement documentation.

  • Ensure Compliance

Ensure compliance with data center security protocols and prepare reports on data center operations.

  • Supervise and Oversee

Supervise and oversee vendors and subcontractors supporting the data center, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards.

  • Control and Manage

Control data center stocks (fiber, patch panels, connectors, etc.) and responsible for racking and stacking of servers and related devices.

  • Design and Implement

Design and implement server technologies in environments with multiple configurations and assist in performing root cause analysis for operational issues that occur.

  • Ensure Safety

Ensure the safety of all personnel and equipment on-site and provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and decommissioning of physical equipment.

  • Provide 24/7 Support

Provide data center support 24/7 to respond to emergency incidents that affect mission-essential services.

Requirements
  • Experience

10+ years of relevant experience in data center operations, with experience working in an AGILE environment and managing hardware configuration baselines.

  • Education

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science or engineering.

  • Certifications

Data Center Management Certification a plus.

Clearance
  • Security Clearance

Must possess active TS/SCI with CI Poly OR TS/SCI and willingness to get a poly.

  • Citizenship

US Citizenship is required.
