Job Details:
Epic Travel Staffing is recruiting for a Travel RN - ICU
Shift Details: Nights, 7 PM - 7:30 AM, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
Weekend Requirements: 4 weekend shifts within a 4-week period
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Active SC / Multi-State Compact RN License
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience
- AHA BLS Certification
- AHA ACLS Certification
- Experience with CRRT and pre/post catheterization care
- Proficiency in Electronic Documentation
- Preferred experience with Swan Ganz, IABP, and Impellas
- Previous Charge Nurse experience is a plus
- Experience in a Teaching Hospital is advantageous
- Trauma Level I experience is preferred
Additional Information:
- Local candidates accepted within a 60-mile radius
- First-time travelers are welcome
- Travelers may float within their scope of practice to meet facility needs
- Nurse-to-patient ratios range from 1:2 to 1:4, depending on patient acuity
Unit Information:
The 5 West unit is a 23-bed multi-specialty unit utilizing an acuity-adaptable model. Each room is equipped to accommodate both acute and intermediate level patients, with eight rooms capable of serving ICU-level patients. The primary patient population consists of Heart and Vascular cases, and the unit also supports surgical oncology and plastic surgery.
Important Note: During hurricane season, all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams. Travelers should consider this when accepting assignments.
