Multimedia Journalist

We are seeking a highly skilled Multimedia Journalist to join our dynamic newsroom at FOX13 Memphis. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented and ambitious individual to work in a fast-paced environment, covering breaking news, investigative journalism, and severe weather events.

• Develop sources and beat reporting skills to produce high-quality enterprise stories
• Foster strong community relationships through effective communication and storytelling
• Remain knowledgeable of local and national news to inform and engage the audience
• Pitch original local stories with high value and impact
• Execute direction presented in station research and adhere to strict deadlines
• Craft and present compelling enterprise stories through creative writing and visual elements
• Write accurate, grammatically correct scripts for news broadcasts
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of social media platforms and apply station guidelines
• Be prepared to fill-in anchor duties as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism or related field
• At least 2 years of experience in reporting
• Demonstrate solid news judgment and ability to work under pressure
• Show a willingness to collaborate and contribute to a diverse team
• Value diversity and inclusivity in journalism practices
• Be able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
• Have a valid driver's license and good driving record
