POSITION OVERVIEW:

The primary role is to support the efficient management and oversight of the lounge bar services across our current and future venues, focusing on excellence in quality, service, and team leadership. Responsibilities include monitoring the quality and consistency of beverage preparation, managing costs, and overseeing inventory control.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Educate bartenders on proper service etiquette and techniques for beverage preparation.
  2. Ensure the bar is set up correctly each day. Complete requisitions to replenish all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, drink accessories, and garnishes based on daily forecasts.
  3. Supervise the preparation, cutting, and storage of fresh garnishes, juices, and other perishables to guarantee product freshness.
  4. Deliver friendly and attentive service to all patrons in the bar and lounge area, addressing their needs while promoting in-house specials.
  5. Serve food and beverage items to guests in various dining and hotel outlets as necessary to ensure satisfaction.
  6. Maintain cleanliness in bar and guest areas throughout the shift. Assist with general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products to comply with health regulations.
  7. Utilize the point of sale system to record all guest orders taken by oneself or other servers, ensuring a check is generated for each beverage served.
  8. Process payments from guests in cash, credit, or room charge, providing change as needed.
  9. Securely store all food, beverages, and equipment at the end of the shift.
  10. Maintain an accurate balance of the house bank, making cash deposits as required.
  11. Comply with all state, federal, and corporate regulations regarding the service of alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated individuals.
  12. Assist with inventory counts and maintain stock levels.
  13. Complete end-of-day sales and tip distribution reports.
  14. Perform additional duties as assigned, including assisting security with unruly guests.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Must be at least 19 years old to serve alcohol.
  2. Knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service is essential.
  3. Basic math skills are necessary for operating a cash register, making change, and managing cash drops.
  4. Basic English writing skills are required for completing requisitions and financial documents.
  5. Manual dexterity is needed for tasks such as garnishing, handling glassware, and mixing drinks.
  6. Ability to read, speak, and understand English to communicate effectively with guests and take orders.
  7. Capability to remember and promote various menu items.
  8. Proficiency in operating a keyboard and performing point of sale functions.
  9. Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
  10. Previous experience in bartending is required.
  11. Must be able to obtain Alcohol Awareness certification and any necessary licenses or certifications; a bartending certificate is preferred.
