Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Route Service Technician to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our fire protection team, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing our route servicing existing fire extinguisher, kitchen hood, e-light, and pre-engineered and possibly engineered gas system customers.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect, service, repair, and install 2 or more suppression product lines, including emergency lights, fire extinguishers, pre-engineered, and industrial systems, according to safety requirements and manufacturer's specifications.

Make recommendations based on manufacturer's specifications and state/local codes, identify deficiencies, and quote, sell, and repair on-site.

Up-sell existing customers to new product offerings and services to meet compliance with current fire code regulations, and sell new accounts on the route based on the same compliance criteria.

Meet or exceed quotas set forth by the direct supervisor, and call on potential customers to offer suppression products and services.

Requirements

1-5 years of experience with service in the fire protection industry, sales experience with a proven record of growing business through cold calling.

Must be flexible with working hours, possible nights/weekends to meet customers' needs, and have a High School diploma or equivalent.

1-5 years' experience in customer service, must have Extinguisher Certificate of competency, and Pre-engineered suppression systems Certificate of competency.

Strong communication skills, ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.

Must be able to pass a drug and background check, and have a positive attitude, self-motivated, strong organizational, and good communication skills.
