Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is seeking a highly skilled Tire Alignment Specialist to join our team.

About the Position

We're looking for a full-time Tire Alignment Specialist to work at one of our state-of-the-art automotive service, repair and tire sales centers in the Wheaton, IL area. Our company, Mavis, is one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for using the latest equipment to align newly-mounted tires and wheels on customer vehicles. This includes measuring and adjusting caster, camber, toe and thrust angles to ensure serviced vehicles travel straight and true.

Additionally, the Tire Alignment Specialist will complete state-mandated inspections, oil and filter changes and flat repairs, as well as perform any other required automotive service or vehicle repairs to customer vehicles.

Qualifications

To be eligible for this position, applicants must be at least 18 years of age, legally authorized to work in the United States, and possess 1 year of experience and/or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating and balancing tires or any combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.

A state inspection license is also preferred but not mandatory.

Working Conditions

This is an active position that requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, pulling, reaching and performing repeated and repetitive movements consistent with vehicle and tire maintenance and repair. The specialist must regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.

Salary Range

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $40,000 - $60,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
