    • The Central Sterile Technician plays a crucial role in the healthcare setting by ensuring that all surgical and medical instruments are properly cleaned, sterilized, and prepared for use in various procedures. This position is essential in maintaining a sterile environment to prevent infections and ensure patient safety.
  • QUALIFICATIONS
    • Experience:
      • No prior experience required.
    • Education:
      • Must be a High School Graduate.
    • Certifications:
      • Must obtain CRCST/CSPDT/CBSPD certification within two years of employment.
    • Additional Requirements:
      • Completion of Registered Central Service Technician & Certified Endoscope Reprocessor Certifications is preferred. Candidates should maintain relevant certifications and demonstrate proficiency in sterile processing competencies.
  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Ensure the thorough cleaning and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.
    • Manage the inventory and organization of sterile supplies and instruments.
    • Collaborate with surgical teams to understand specific case needs and assist in the preparation of necessary instruments.
    • Provide training and orientation for new staff members in sterile processing protocols.
    • Monitor compliance with safety and operational standards within the sterile processing department.
  • EXPECTATIONS
