About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Coordinator to join our team at Nova Lines. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enforcing safety protocols across our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining safety policies and programs to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Support the investigation of accidents and near-misses, compiling reports and suggestions for future prevention.
  • Conduct safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other regulations.
  • Help organize and facilitate safety training for all departments to promote a culture of safety.
  • Keep track of safety records and documentation, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance.
  • Work closely with the Safety Director to develop and improve safety protocols and procedures.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned to support the success of our organization.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience in safety coordination or a related role, ideally in logistics or transportation.
  • Knowledge of federal and state safety regulations, including OSHA and DOT.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
  • Certification in Occupational Safety is a plus.
