Job Description

At Lider Fogarty & Ribeiro, we are seeking a highly skilled Paralegal to join our team in the field of Immigration Law. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in immigration law and be able to provide exceptional support to our attorneys.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file various immigration-related applications, such as family-based petitions, employment-based petitions, and asylum applications.
  • Communicate with clients to gather information and documents required for applications.
  • Draft legal documents, correspondence, and memoranda.
  • Maintain client files and update case management systems.
  • Monitor case status and communicate updates to clients and attorneys.
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, interviews, and trials.
  • Collaborate with team members to provide high-quality legal services to clients.
  • Stay informed about changes in immigration laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Paralegal certification or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in immigration law preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. immigration laws and procedures.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management software.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Bilingual skills in Spanish or Portuguese preferred.
