Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and friendly Host/Cashier to join our team at Peppermill & Western Village. As a Host/Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional service and ensuring a memorable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Service: Greet guests warmly, make eye contact, and provide clear information about seating status, wait times, and menu offerings.
  • Seating and Table Management: Seat guests in the proper order of arrival, manage table assignments, and maintain a clean and organized dining area.
  • Cash Handling and POS Operations: Process transactions accurately, handle cash and credit transactions, and maintain a high level of accuracy with bank balancing and calculator usage.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Collaborate with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service, and communicate effectively with guests and team members.
  • Appearance and Uniform Standards: Maintain a neat, clean, and organized appearance, adhering to company uniform standards and policies.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of previous hosting experience preferred.
  • Age and Language: Must be 18 years of age and able to speak and understand English.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to repeatedly lift 15 lbs. to chest and stand for long periods of time.
