About the Role

We are seeking a Medical Care Specialist to join our team at AMR. As a Medical Care Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality emergency medical care while leading a team and ensuring patient safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive protocols.
  • Utilize your skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
  • Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
  • Act as team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
  • Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • California Drivers' License.
  • Ambulance Driver's License from DMV.
  • Medical Examiner's Card from DMV.
  • State of California Paramedic License.
  • CPR Card (American Heart Association ONLY).
  • ACLS Card (American Heart Association ONLY).
  • Driving record in compliance with AMR Safety and Driving policy.
  • ICS courses (IS-100B, IS-200B, IS-700A, IS-800B).

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary range for this role is $27.14 to $51.08 per hour, based on a 12-hour shift and average 20 or 49 hours per week. This position is bonus eligible.
