About the Job Opportunity

We're Top Secret Clearance Jobs, a leading provider of top-secret clearance holders for high-profile projects. As a Senior Space Systems Engineer, you'll be working on cutting-edge projects that require your expertise in system integration. Your primary responsibility will be to design and develop space systems that meet our customers' needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop system build flow and test operations based on established requirements and designs.
  • Follow engineering standards and assist engineers in system integration and documentation efforts.
  • Plan and perform functional, electrical, mechanical, and environmental tests at subsystem and payload system level.
  • Integrate, troubleshoot, and debug subsystems and payload systems using modern tools and techniques.
  • Evaluate proposed subsystem designs for manufacturability and integration.
  • Evaluate non-conformances to determine root cause and create actionable items and system improvements.
  • Manage test equipment availability between projects.
  • Collaborate with managers and leads to provide input to schedules and project artifacts.
  • Create and maintain detailed schedules, ensuring team awareness of tasks and deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Computer Engineering from an ABET-accredited university and 8+ years' experience.
  • Development experience in aerospace or space systems, preferably with payload experience such as IR sensors.
  • Experience defining and executing Assembly, Manufacturing, and Integration plans.
  • Hands-on assembly and integration experience in areas like optical assemblies, electro-mechanical actuation systems, high-speed digital electronics, power electronics, and electrical and mechanical ground support equipment.
