POSITION SUMMARY

Catalyst Health Group is in search of a dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our dynamic team. This role involves performing a variety of patient care tasks and preparing individuals for medical examinations and procedures. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate effectively with medical assistants to ensure efficient patient flow.
  • Prepare patients for their examinations.
  • Accurately document patient history and reasons for visits.
  • Measure and record vital signs including height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature.
  • Administer medications and injections, monitoring patient responses as necessary.
  • Document patient outcomes related to treatments and medication administration.
  • Assist clinical staff with examinations and procedures as directed.
  • Triage walk-in patients and emergency calls to assess the need for immediate care.
  • Conduct timely blood pressure checks for walk-in patients.
  • Under physician supervision, manage prescription refills and document accordingly.
  • Coordinate referral appointments and necessary diagnostic procedures.
  • Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and procedures.
  • Prepare examination and surgical rooms with sterile instruments.
  • Collect lab samples and ensure proper documentation on lab slips.
  • Adhere to universal precautions to ensure safety for both staff and patients.
  • Organize incoming medical records into patient charts by accurately documenting and scanning information.
  • Maintain stocked exam rooms with necessary supplies.
  • Responsible for the cleaning and sterilization of medical instruments in compliance with OSHA standards.
  • May assist in laboratory tasks, including blood draws.
  • Demonstrate the ability to relate to diverse populations with respect and empathy.
  • Promote quality healthcare services and education within the community.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Completion of an accredited LVN program is required; current licensure is mandatory.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
  • 3-6 years of experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
